Now that the weather is nice, I walk a 4 mile route thru my neighborhood of Loch Lomond in Mundelein, Illinois. It's a charming old neighborhood and I love it. It's not one of those neighborhoods where all the houses look the same. Each house is different and has it's own uniqueness. My brain whirls and I imagine all kinds of different design solutions for homes that need help and I am inspired by homes that have careful attention to beautiful design. I am in process of developing my design business here and I dream of having many really wonderful and ongoing design/client relationships in this area. I cannot wait until I am "discovered" here because I have so much to offer in the way of really good and practical design companionship services. I mean wouldn't you love it if you could just have someone stop by and tell you what colors to paint your walls? Or how about being there to help you pick out all your materials during the process of a remodel? Or just guide you and let you know if you're on the right track with what you're doing? I'm right here in the neighborhood and would love to get to know all you Loch Lomond residents as well as all other locals. Call me anytime or just stop me when you see me walking thru the neighborhood. I'm the lady with red hair and glasses and I'd love the opportunity to help you spend wisely, make the right remodeling decisions and save you money in the long run.

Last week I had the occasion to entertain good friends from out of town, Joel and Vicky Markuson of "Marks Of Design" remodeling company. I have known them for almost 20 years now but I don't get to see them very often since they are in Clayton Wisconsin and I am here in Mundelein Illinois. It was so refreshing to spend time with them because of our similar interests, ideals and philosophies. It's a rare occasion nowadays to find people like Vicky and Joel who operate with such honesty and integrity, not to mention how creative and conscientious they are. I'm so excited for them to be taking on a new direction in their business . They are "taking the bull by the horns" so to speak and I cannot wait to see their growth and success. Even though I operate about 6 hours from them, it is my hope to collaborate with them often and have a more permanent working relationship with them. You see, I am also in process of transition and my hope is to have my own shoppe where I demonstrate my work, re-purposing and all aspects of interior design and decorating. I want people to feel right at home when they walk in my shoppe and feel confident that I have their best interest in mind. I surround myself with only the best people and Joel and Vicky fit that criteria. Good karma, good energy. That's a biggie with me and it's like finding a "diamond in the rough" these days. I am quite sure that I will realize my dream soon and so will they and cannot wait to see it all unfold. Till then, I will work similarly, I just don't have the shoppe yet. For now, if you are interested in remodeling with me or are in the vicinity of Eau Claire or Clayton Wisconsin you need to check out "Marks Of Design" remodeling company. They have been doing this for a long time so they know what they're doing. This new venture is so new that they do not have their website yet but you can see them on facebook. They can do any look you want or need....rustic, modern, traditional....you name it. You MUST check them out.
