The Mouse In The House philosophy is to provide "true" design companionship that will enable you to realize your own personal style. I believe that, even though there are definite styles and trends, everyone's interpretation is different and somewhat unique. It is my job to discover and organize information and bring it out into the open and transform it into a beautifully cohesive, "one of a kind" design that is exclusively yours to match your lifestyle. I believe that, regardless of ones income level, we all like to save a buck and I make recommendations keeping that in mind.
I believe in re-purposing and spending wisely as well as "doing it up" with everything fresh and new and I will guide you through your project and make recommendations on good ways to save money without compromising the design. I will also advise on when to spend a little more so as to stretch your dollar in the long run. I will guide you through spending and saving limits so the integrity of the design remains strong and the outcome is everything it should be.

Inspiration comes from many things......
Colors in nature......and by that I don't necessarily mean green and brown. If one looks closely at most anything in nature, there are very unusual and absolutely beautiful colors interacting together in what would seemingly be unmatching, but because of balance, proportion and texture, it becomes dynamic in the most unexpected ways.
Fabric, artwork and rugs......A strong response or good feeling can come from the appreciation of any one thing like a beautiful fabric or piece of artwork or a rug and then that says it all. It might be the place to start....the beginning of a really good story with a happy ending.
Ultimately, inspiration comes in many ways and I am one who seeks it out on an almost constant basis. I can be sitting quietly reading a book and a single word might jump out at me and set me in a direction. Then the energy builds and propels me further. Then more ideas come and the momentum increases, and before you know it, I've got it. I know it. I love it, and I hope you love it.
